Plan to Pay
Learn how Hawk Link and Academic Success at KU Can Help You Make a Plan to Pay Each Semester
Plan to Pay Quick Facts
What is the Plan to Pay Campaign?
For this campaign, Hawk Link partners with units across campus like Student Accounts and Receivables, Academic Success Navigators, Financial Aid and Scholarships, International Student Services, and KU Athletics. Each Fall and Spring semester, we put together a list of all students who still have a balance due in the two weeks leading up to the payment deadline on September 15th and February 15th.
Financial challenges are listed as one of the major reasons for discontinuing your college education, so our team wants to help you make a plan to pay early on so you can keep working toward your degree and leave KU with your goals completed.
Keep an eye out for a phone call from one of our Plan to Pay team members so we can answer questions and help you make a plan to pay each semester!
Frequently Asked Questions
- Out of Pocket - Students and their delegates can make a payment through Enroll and Pay with debit or credit card, deposit from a 529 plan, through check, or wire transfer. Visit Student Accounts and Receivables to see more information on making a payment to your student account.
- Financial Aid and Scholarships - There are multiple options for receiving student loans and scholarships to cover the cost of your education at KU. Meet with your Financial Aid Counselor through a scheduled appointment or drop-in appointment to understand the options available for you.
- Payment Plans - Split your payment up each semester into multiple smaller payments. KU offers options for interest-free payment plans to make paying for each semester easier. These plans must be selected each semester and questions can be answered by our Student Accounts and Receivables team. More information is on their website HERE.
You may receive a late fee if your bill is not paid in full by the due date. Visit Student Accounts and Receivables' website for more information on due dates and late fees.
If your bill is not paid, you may be subject to a Past Due Balance hold which will prevent you from being able to enroll in the next semester's classes.
Visit your Enroll and Pay or Student Accounts and Receivables to see the exact balance you owe. Some options may not be available to pay a past due balance (like loans or payment plans), so come see a coordinator at Hawk Link to help look at what options you have and get you connected to the right departments.
You are still able to meet with your academic advisor to plan classes for your next semester and put classes in to your shopping cart on Enroll and Pay. Make sure to make a plan for your next semester so you can enroll as soon as your past due balance is cleared.
Yes, students can provide online Enroll & Pay access to designated individuals. More information can be found on KU's Delegate Access webpage.
Visit the Student Instructions page for help with setting up delegate payments.
KU's Emergency Aid Network (EAN) lists a number of resources for food, housing, clothing, family/parenting, legal help, and more for students at KU.
There are also Emergency Grants you can apply for to help cover the costs of emergencies that have come up in your life.
Visit the Emergency Aid Network or visit with a Hawk Link coordinator to see what support we can help you find.
